OGDEN — Police are looking for a man who they believe robbed two pharmacies in the Ogden area just days apart.

The Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market Place, located at 1710 South Skyline Drive in South Ogden, was robbed Sunday just before noon, according to the South Ogden Police Department. They said the Ogden City Walgreens, located at 1208 Washington Boulevard, was robbed in a similar manner at around 10:20 a.m. Friday.

“The suspect walked directly to the pharmacy and demanded narcotics,” police said of the Wal-Mart robbery. “There was never any weapon displayed, however the suspect implied to employees that he had a weapon in his backpack. The employees complied with the suspect’s demands, and the suspect immediately left the store with an undisclosed amount of prescription narcotics prior to police arrival.”

During the robbery at Walgreens, Ogden police said a man approached the pharmacy and “verbally demanded narcotics and money” in addition to threatening the pharmacist. The man left the store through the main doors, according to investigators.

Investigators from the Ogden and South Ogden Police Departments said they believe the two robberies were committed by the same man. They described him as possibly being of Hispanic descent and between 20 and 30 years old. Police said the man is of a thin build, weighs between 140 and 150 pounds, and is between 5-feet-8-inches and 5-feet-11-inches tall.

He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants with a stripe down the side and white tennis shoes during the Wal-Mart robbery, police said. The man who robbed the Walgreens was wearing dark pants, a two-toned black and brown jacket, cream baseball hat and white tennis shoes.

Anyone with information about the identity of the man or the robberies a can contact investigators by calling 801-629-8221. Police said the man should be considered dangerous.
