WOODS CROSS — The championships are set in the 4A and 5A boys soccer tournament.
Here are the results from Tuesday's games.
5A Soccer Semifinals:
Fremont 1 Layton 0
Fremont's Parker Preator scored in the first half of the state semifinals and it would prove enough as the Silverwolves blank Layton to advance to the 5A state championship. Fremont will play at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Rio Tinto Stadium against Riverton.
5A Soccer Semifinals:
Riverton 2 Viewmont 0
Viewmont's perfect season came to an end in the 5A semifinals as Riverton's Nick Tanner and Richard Anderson each scored to give the Silverwolves a place in the 5A championship game. Riverton will play at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Rio Tinto Stadium against Fremont.
4A Soccer Semifinals:
Skyline 4 Box Elder 2
A huge four goal outburst by Skyline in the second half upended Box Elder in the 4A state semifinals. They will play Logan for the 4A championship on Thursday at Rio Tinto Stadium at 4:00 p.m.
4A Soccer Semifinals:
Logan 1 Maple Mountain 0
Logan's Jose Beto Rincon scored six minutes into the game and that would be enough as Logan advances in the 4A state semifinals. They will play Skyline for the championship on Thursday at Rio Tinto Stadium at 4:00 p.m.
