BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho Power says everyone in East Boise should have their lights back before nightfall.
More than 2,000 customers lost power shortly after noon on Saturday. Idaho Power said electricity was restored to many by 2:30 p.m. and it hoped everyone would have their lights by 3 p.m.
The utility said a bad transformer caused the outage. There were reports of loud bangs in the area, but it's unclear if they were related to the problem.
