IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Post. Co. President Jerry Brady says the family-owned business that includes the Post Register and three other Idaho newspapers is for sale and there's an interested buyer.
The Post Register reports (http://bit.ly/1eDhLQE) that Brady informed employees of the potential sale in an email Wednesday afternoon.
Brady says the company needs additional resources that a larger company could provide.
Brady declined to name the potential buyer but says he expects a final deal within weeks.
Brady and his brother, Jack, own about two-thirds of the company, with employees owning the rest through an ownership plan.
The Post Co. has been a family business since 1925.
Jerry Brady says there's no indication the sale will lead to significant changes at the company.
