DUCHESNE COUNTY — A man was killed after falling from the top of a speeding car early Saturday morning, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
The driver of the car was arrested for driving under the influence, said UHP Trooper Zane Carson.
The men were driving on a country roadway near 2990 West and 8000 South in Duchesne County around 5:20 a.m. when the passenger climbed out the window and onto the top of the moving vehicle, Carson said.
The man, whose name was not released, lost his footing and fell from the car, the trooper said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Duchesne County will take over the fatality investigation, while UHP will handle the DUI, Carson said.
