Outlook

With 2 fires actively burning along the Wasatch Front right now we'll see more smoky skies the next several days. Today looks dry with mostly clear skies and mountain breezes that will fan current fires. Tomorrow we'll see a little moisture sneak into the state, and this could be enough to help spark off some scattered t-storms Wednesday afternoon. These storms will be capable of rainfall, but the main threat will be dry lightning and microburst winds. Thursday will be similar with lesser chances for pop-up t-storms but still a chance. Winds really ramp up this weekend and will further the fire danger across the state - behind the wind will come a significant cool-down. - Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 6.23.26
