Outlook

Smoky skies will likely linger through the rest of the work week. Wednesday and Thursday will come with some active weather as scattered showers and storms develop across the state. These will more so be dry, however, as the day progresses storms will have a better chance to produce some rainfall, especially across central Utah. There is a marginal threat for a strong to severe storm to produce damaging wind gusts and frequent lightning! Thursday's showers and storms will mostly be in eastern Utah. Friday and Saturday will feature very strong winds and high fire danger across the state. These winds are ahead of a strong storm system that'll bring a series of cold fronts Friday and Saturday and a chance for some rain in extreme northern Utah. - Devan Masciulli, KSL Weather 6.23.26
