Outlook
A little break from the wind today with slightly cooler temperatures in the upper 80s this afternoon. Tomorrow an unorganized low pressure system will drop into the Great Basin, this will kick up winds in the West Desert increasing fire danger. Partly cloudy skies could produce a stray shower in the mountains by Friday evening, some models show these showers encroaching on the Wasatch Front - not much in the way of rainfall is expected at all. Saturday a passing low will kick up some scattered t-storms along the Utah/Idaho border, some dry t-storms may try and fire up as far south as Salt Lake City, 30% chance for these storms in the central Wasatch. Dry and hot weather resumes next week. - Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 6.18.26
