HOLLADAY — Meet Taryn, a 10-year-old girl who is a little shy with people, but around animals she lights up.

Wednesday wasn't her first time around a dog, but it's been a while. About four years ago Taryn, along with her siblings, entered foster care. She had to leave the only home she knew. She understands now why she needs to be in foster care.

"I can't go back to my parents," Taryn said.

However, she still worries. "(I worry) my dog would miss me," she said.

On Wednesday, she got to remember what it's like to be around a furry friend as she visited Intermountain Therapy Animals. She took the chance to tell KSL what she hopes for the future.

"I want to get a family," she said.

She wants to be adopted. For her, that would mean no more moving, no more unknowns and finally getting the chance to be home for good. "I think they're going to have a fun time with me," she said.

Of course, she also hopes that forever home will have a dog.
