SALT LAKE CITY — Week 3 of the college football season brought plenty of anxious moments for fans of the three instate FBS schools.

Utah took to the road for a 34-17 win at San Jose State, but it wasn’t without some hairy moments from the offense. Still, the Ute defense forced 10 sacks and ran away with the win over the Mountain West school. Did Zack Moss reassert himself as the Utes’ best option at running back?

BYU’s 17-14 loss to UCLA opened the home slate for the Cougars, who limited standout quarterback Josh Rosen to two touchdowns but couldn’t find the end zone until the second half. Is it time for a change on offense after back-to-back losses by a total of four points?

Meanwhile, in Logan, the Aggies survived a Friday night scare against Arkansas State, 34-20 even as the Red Wolves rallied from a 24-0 hole at halftime. What does that mean for Mountain West play?

Local experts Christian Cox, a Utah alum, and David Nixon from BYU joined SportsBeat in studio to break down the biggest plays, hits and storylines from another weekend on the gridiron.

As always, click the videos above for highlights and complete analysis from each of the three games, as well as Weber State’s 14-7 victory over Sacramento State.
