CORVALLIS, Oregon — Oregon State snapped Utah's five-game winning streak Thursday after a bizarre foul at the end of regulation, beating the Utes 71-69.

The ending is beyond words, but here we are recapping it.

After letting a 10-point lead slip away late in the game against the Beavers, Utah found itself down by 2 points with 11.1 seconds left. With the ball and chance to win, Utah's Jordan Loveridge is fouled behind the 3-point line with 2.2 seconds left in the game.

Loveridge made all three free throws, essentially locking up Utah's sixth straight victory and keeping the Utes in prime position to challenge for first place in the conference standings.

All Utah needed to do was keep Oregon State from getting a good look and the game was over. Instead, senior guard Brandon Taylor over exerted himself and found himself fouling Oregon State's Stephen Thompson Jr. on a halfcourt shot at the buzzer. After reviewing the play, the refs gave Thompson three free throw attempts.

He made all three and secured a bizarre win for the Beavers. Watch the final few seconds of the game below:

Although Utah fans have a right to be frustrated, it should be remembered that no human, athlete or not, deserves to be disrespected in these situations, particularly on the various social media platforms out there. Feel free to share your comments, frustrations, and disappoints about the game's finish in our comment boards, but please do not tweet Brandon Taylor, or any player for that matter, your frustrations.
