SALT LAKE CITY — The force was at work last weekend when Harrison Ford, President Dieter F. Uchtdorf and Candy Bomber Gail Halvorsen posed together for a photo that is blowing up Facebook.

President Uchtdorf, second counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, posted the photo to his Facebook page shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday.

The general authority explained he presented Col. Gail Halvorsen — commonly known as the Candy Bomber — with the Kiddie Hawk Children's Award last weekend as Halverson was honored by Living Legends of Aviation.

"Later that evening, I was privileged to be in a photo with Brother Halvorsen and Harrison Ford," President Uchtdorf wrote on Facebook. "Our 95-year-old Candy Bomber looked almost the youngest between the Millennium Falcon pilot and me — a former airline captain."

More than 17,000 people liked the photo on Facebook within about an hour and more than 3,500 people shared it.
