Those who ride ATVs are a different breed of animal. They love to explore the unknown, feel the wind hit their face, and prefer a set of dusty handlebars over a cell phone and clean hands any day. True riders have experienced a variety of terrain, and yet every ride is still a new adventure.
Here are eight signs you're a true ATV'er.
1. You ride so much that when you walk you look like a bow legged cow
Your body may be sore afterward, but the rush is definitely worth it.
2. You use the word throttle way too often
Whether it's full, half or something else, it's your favorite word and you're not ashamed.
3. Your ATVs are worth more than your car
You're willing to park your car in the driveway so the ATVs get the garage. Truly respectable.
4. You always check to see if your gaslight is on
5. You complain that your two stroke doesn't have enough power
Some things are worth complaining about, others aren't. When you want more power... complain on.
6. You find sand or dirt in unexpected places
You keep wondering why your pockets feel grainy and your whole day is filled with little gritty surprises...
7. Your thumbs have so many calluses on them, you have to use your pointer fingers to text
You do your best, but even holding your phone can get a bit uncomfortable.
8. You've carefully named your quad
Mud Slayer, Sand Blaster or perhaps it's Supreme Speed Digger the 3rd. You've carefully crafted a special name for your machine, and every time you hear it your heart beats a little faster in anticipation of your next escapade together.
Whether you ride all of the time, or appreciate every ride you can get in, be safe out there and long live your ATV.
