PORTAGE, Box Elder County — An Idaho man was killed in a crash between two pickup trucks Friday evening.

Police had not yet released the man's name pending notification of next of kin.

A Dodge pickup truck, southbound on I-15, drove up behind a slower-moving Ford pickup at 5:15 p.m., about 14 miles south of the Utah-Idaho border, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

The Dodge collided with the Ford, propelling the Ford down an embankment on the right side of the road. The Ford pickup drove through a fence, into a tree and continuing forward, hit a propane tank, the corner of a house and a parked car before coming to a stop, according to troopers.

The driver of the Ford, an Idaho resident, died at scene, according to UHP. The driver of the Dodge was not injured.
