THE HOSPITAL — A 17-year-old whose health condition makes her familiar with the hospital recently made a charming and optimistic video about the best parts of staying in a hospital.

Claire Wineland has cystic fibrosis — a genetic disease that causes the body to produce excessively thick and sticky mucus that can lead to lung infections and obstruct the pancreas. Each day, she has up to four hours of treatment, and she frequents hospitals.

Rather than focus on the negatives of her situation, Claire has created a YouTube channel called The Clairity Project to “break down the barriers that we tend to have with people who are living with an illness by discovering what you're curious about and opening up my life,” she wrote.

While she regularly answers questions about her condition and life, she also creates lighthearted videos, including one that looks at the perks of staying in hospitals.

Some of the perks she talks about are surprising, most of them are things we all can enjoy like free cable and junk food, or getting the sheets changed every other day.

Watch the video to see what else she has to say.
