COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS — Police in Cottonwood Heights, Sandy, and Salt Lake City were investigating separate robberies Sunday night.
Cottonwood Heights police responded to the Taco Bell at 1962 E. Fort Union Blvd. around 9 p.m. Sunday. A clerk said a man entered the restaurant then pulled out a gun and demanded money.
The robber was described as a man in his 40s wearing a purple jacket over his head.
About 20 minutes later, a man entered the Little Caesar's Pizza at 7890 S. 1300 East in Sandy. He, too, pulled out a gun and demanded money, then fled.
Around 8:20 p.m. a man and woman entered the Coffee Noir at 1035 E. 200 South in Salt Lake City, according to Salt Lake police. The woman handed the clerk a note demanding money and indicating they had a weapon. The clerk complied and the couple fled on foot.
The man was described as 25 to 27 years old, 6 feet 1 inch tall, thin with bushy red hair. He was wearing jeans and a green t-shirt.
The woman was in her 30s, 5 feet 5 inches tall, heavy with a black tank top and jeans.
