SYRACUSE — Police are looking for the man who allegedly robbed a Dairy Queen at gunpoint Tuesday.
The man entered the Dairy Queen at 901 W. 1700 South and demanded money from the register while pointing a handgun at a clerk, according to the Syracuse Police Department. Officers responded to the robbery at about 10:30 p.m.
The man left with an undisclosed amount of money and was seen running southeast through the parking lot, police said. Officers from surrounding agencies also responded to set up a perimeter around the area but were unable to locate the man, they said.
Investigators described the man as being about 5 feet 6 inches tall and of Hispanic descent. At the time of the robbery, they said, he was wearing a black, yellow and red beanie cap, dark sweatpants and black athletic-style jacket. Police said he obscured his face by wearing sunglasses and a black bandana.
Police said they are currently working with other businesses in the area to review security footage.
Anyone with information about the robbery or identity of the man can contact the Syracuse Police Department at 801-825-4400.
