LOGAN — It was expected that news related to Utah State basketball would slow down, especially with the season ending.

However, Utah State University announced Tuesday that center Jordan Stone and forward Danny Berger are leaving the Aggies’ program.

In a press release, Aggies coach Stew Morrill said he wishes the two good fortune in their new endeavors.

“We wish Jordan and Danny nothing but the best,” Morrill said. “We greatly appreciate their contributions to Utah State basketball.”

Berger is reportedly leaving to seek more playing time at another institution, while Stone is graduating and is uncertain if he would like to continue playing.

Stone played in all 32 games for Utah State, starting in the five games that saw traditional starter Jarred Shaw suspended. He averaged 2.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and shot 60.8 percent from the floor.

Berger played in 28 games, averaging 3.2 points and 1.9 rebounds. Of course, Berger is most famous for an incident during practice where he went into cardiac arrest.

This now raises the total of Utah State players from last season’s roster that are leaving to seven, with five players leaving due to graduation.
