SALT LAKE CITY — It has been a tough road back from injury but it looks like former Utah Utes center Andrew Bogut is back to his old self.
In the playoff series against the Denver Nuggets, Bogut averaged 8.1 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks. The individual highlight of the series had to be the game six performance. Bogut had 14 points, 21 rebounds, and 4 blocks, very reminiscent of how Utah fans remember him while he was playing in the Huntsman Center.
The NBA conference semifinals begins Monday against the Spurs. It goes without saying that this series will be a difficult one for the Warriors, and especially for Bogut as he and Tim Duncan will match up.
I spoke with Bogut over the phone Saturday afternoon and he is excited about his first playoff series win. It is great to hear and see him finally playing healthy and at a high level.
