Bronco Mendenhall described Wednesday's practice as "sharp" and said the players were "mentally a step ahead of where they were yesterday."

With just three days remaining before the Cougars host Weber State, it appears that BYU will be close to full strength.

Tight end Devin Mahina is likely to play, according to Coach Mendenhall. Mahina has been practicing with a cast on his right hand, after breaking the hand early in fall camp. Mahina said he is ready to play and that "the cast is going to hurt the other person more than it's going to hurt me."

BYU defensive end Ian Dulan missed the last few weeks of camp as well as the opener against Washington State with a back injury. Bronco said he is probable for Saturday.

Twitter was a topic of discussion after practice. Bronco reiterated that he has asked his players not to tweet. After being told that several of his players do have Twitter accounts, Bronco said "all I can do is ask them not to, but I'm not going to chase them down, I'm not going to investigate and I'm not going to spend extra time, other than ask them not to and then trust them that they won't."

Quarterback Riley Nelson was asked why he wasn't on Twitter. Riley quickly responded, "because team rules say you can't be."

Despite all of the national publicity BYU has received after beating Wazzu, it has apparently gone unnoticed by Riley Nelson. When asked if he pays attention to all the accolades, Riley said, "that's the first I've heard about it, so, nope."
