The BYU Cougars wrapped up the second week of Spring Football today. The Cougars practiced in front of an estimated 300 + high school coaches from around the country. BYU held an all-day coaches clinic that will conclude tonight.

Injuries have been a hot topic for the Cougars during spring. Several offensive lineman and tight ends have been held out due to injuries. The good news is that quite a few of them were able to participate today in drills. Houston Reynolds, Ryker Matthews, Ryan Freeman, Austin Holt and Richard Wilson all participated in non-contact drills today.

The injury news was not all positive today. Wide receiver Ross Apo was held out of practice today after injuring his shoulder yesterday. The team performed an MRI on Apo's shoulder and are awaiting the results. BYU said that once the MRI comes back, a decision will be made quickly if surgery is needed. They want to make sure that if they do need to fix the problem surgically, Ross will have plenty of time to recover and be ready for the fall.

Saturday March 24th will be the team's Spring Game. However because of injuries, Coach Mendenhall said it probably won't be a "game".

"Most likely that will be a scrimmage not a game", Bronco said. "We'll have players that we still need to evaluate and players that haven't played as much. But it will be a scrimmage and probably not very long because there won't be a lot of depth on either side".

Bronco did say that the event will still be open to the public
