VERNAL — Three more people have been charged in connection with a June 18 shooting in Uintah County that left one man dead and another wounded.

Kevin Silva, 20, and Alberto Silva Jr., 18, were arrested Tuesday without incident at their homes in Myton, Duchesne County. Adrian Silva, 23, surrendered himself to authorities later in the day.

All three men were booked into the Uintah County Jail on no-bail warrants. They are brothers of Bruce Silva, the man accused of fatally shooting James Edward Carey and wounding Jared R. Hurley.

All four brothers are charged in 8th District Court with murder and attempted murder, first-degree felonies; three counts of aggravated assault and possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, second-degree felonies; and three counts of committing a violent offense in the presence of a child, a class B misdemeanor

Teaunna F. Cesspooch, of Fort Duchesne, also faces identical charges in 8th District Court. She is being held in the Uintah County Jail without bail as well.

Cesspooch, 19, was at the wheel of the pickup truck that delivered Bruce Silva, his girlfriend, Shadow Reed, Silva's brothers and two other people to a Lapoint home on June 18 after someone broke out windows in Bruce Silva's car, according to charging documents. The group had gone to the home intent on “'settling' the issue about the broken windows,” the charges state.

When an argument ensued between the pickup truck's occupants and the people at the house, Cesspooch handed a semiautomatic handgun to one of the men she'd driven to the house, court documents state. Bruce Silva demanded the gun from the man, who handed it over.

“(Bruce Silva) racked a round into the chamber and began firing into the group (on) the porch,” the charges state.

Carey, 25, was fatally wounded when he was struck once in the head, near his right eye, according to Uintah County sheriff's detectives. Hurley, 34, suffered gunshot wounds to his arm and chest.

Silva and his girlfriend, Shadow M. Reed, both 23, still have not been found. There is a $1,500 reward for any information leading to Silva's arrest, said supervisory deputy U.S. marshal Jim Phelps.
