SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Salt Lake City Police Department will deal with traffic congestion and parking this weekend during The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' general conference in downtown Salt Lake City.

The police department says the motor squad will provide traffic control while parking enforcement officers will maintain access to nearby neighborhoods, the Conference Center and Temple Square.

North Temple between Main Street and West Temple will be closed for about 30 minutes at the end of each of the four conference sessions.

The police department says conference is expected to draw more than 100,000 people downtown.
