BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — LSU coach Les Miles says he's hired Jabbar Juluke as his new running backs coach.

Juluke, who coached the past three seasons at Louisiana Tech, comes to LSU after spending just a month on Kliff Kingbury's Texas Tech staff. Juluke replaces Frank Wilson, who left LSU to become the head coach at Texas-San Antonio.

Miles also says receivers coach Tony Ball has left his staff "to pursue other opportunities."

At Louisiana Tech, Juluke coached running back Kenneth Dixon, who finished his college career as the NCAA's all-time leader in touchdowns with 87. Dixon's career marks of 3,410 yards rushing and 53 TDs rushing also set Louisiana Tech records.

As a recruiter, Juluke has considerable ties to New Orleans, where he was a successful high school coach.
