BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Kassius Robertson made four 3-pointers and scored 19 points to help Canisius hold off Rider 67-61 on Sunday.
Robertson scored seven points during Canisius' 11-0 run for a 30-23 lead and the Golden Griffins led 34-30 at halftime.
Rider opened the second half on a 7-2 run to take a 37-36 lead with 17:52 remaining but the Broncs did not score again until Xavier Lundy's layup at the 11:05 mark as Canisius built an 11-point lead.
Kahlil Thomas' 3-point play pulled Rider within 62-59 with 1:54 left but Malcolm McMillan also made a basket and a free throw with 20 seconds remaining to extend Canisius' lead to six points.
Kiefer Douse added 12 points, Cassidy Ryan 11 and McMillan 10 for Canisius (11-14, 6-8 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference).
Thomas led Rider (10-15, 6-8) with 19 points and eight rebounds. Lundy added 13 points and Jimmie Taylor had 12 with nine rebounds.
