THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) — Dutch police have arrested a man suspected of sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl in Britain in 2008 thanks to his image being uploaded to a European "most-wanted" website that was publicized with an Advent calendar .
The European Union police agency Europol said Thursday that the suspect, whose identity was not released, was detained Tuesday in an Amsterdam restaurant where he was working as a chef.
The suspect was featured in the Advent calendar set up by the European Network of Fugitive Active Search Teams and Europol. It publicizes one fugitive per day leading up to Christmas.
The suspect had been on an EU Most Wanted webpage since Nov. 30 and the page has seen increased traffic since the Advent calendar campaign started.
