WOODLAND, Utah (AP) — A woman has been killed after the motorcycle she was riding failed to negotiate a turn.
KSL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2rdrJAB ) Claire Benson was traveling Sunday on separate motorcycles with her husband when her motorcycle crossed into oncoming traffic.
The Utah Highway Patrol says she was struck head-on by a 2016 Dodge truck and died at the scene. Benson was wearing a helmet and other protective gear at the time of the accident.
Excessive speed is being investigated as a possible factor in the accident. The highway patrol says the driver of the truck suffered minor injuries.
