HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — Twelve residents of a Henderson apartment complex have been displaced after a fire broke out from a second-floor unit.

The Henderson Fire Department says it responded to the fire around 11 p.m. on Saturday.

A man who was home saw the fire on his porch and was able to safely exit. All other residents also got out safe, but 12 of them and two pets have not been displaced. The American Red Cross is helping those people.

The cause of the fire in the 12-unit building is still being investigated and the department hasn't determined the total loss estimate.
