CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) — Canyon County authorities say three teens have been arrested in connection with several burglaries at a Caldwell school and business that caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage.
The teens, ages 15 to 17, were taken into custody Monday after officers responded to a reckless driving report and found a truck registered to the Vallivue School District abandoned in a field.
Sheriff's officials say deputies then went to Vallivue Middle School, where five vehicles and tools from a maintenance shop were reported stolen. A garage door was also found damaged from a vehicle driving through it.
Deputies eventually tracked down the three suspects and recovered the stolen vehicles.
The teens are also suspects in the theft of a trailer and two off-road vehicles at a motorsports store that morning.
