TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Police say a body pulled from a pond near Florida State's main campus is a student who recently went missing.

Tallahassee police reported in a news release Friday that the body discovered Thursday afternoon at Carter-Howell-Strong Park was 23-year-old Jorge A. Altuna.

The South Florida man was reported missing on Tuesday. He was last heard from on Sunday by phone. An earlier news release said Altuna may have been depressed and that his family was concerned for his safety.

Investigators say there are no signs of foul play.
