LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities are investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy pulled from a hot tub at a northwest Las Vegas apartment complex as a possible drowning.

The Clark County coroner on Tuesday identified the child as Israel Hall, and said the cause of death is yet to be determined.

Las Vegas police say paramedics were called after the boy was found unconscious about 4:15 p.m. Monday in a hot tub in a community swimming area at the complex off Rainbow Boulevard near Lone Mountain Road.

He was pronounced dead at nearby Mountain View Hospital.

Police say that although adults were in the area, none appeared to be near the hot tub at the time.

Police said the death appeared to be the sixth investigated in the area in 2015.
