Man dies in eastern Idaho after canoe hits logjam

ST. ANTHONY, Idaho (AP) — Eastern Idaho authorities say a man died after his canoe struck a logjam on the Henry's Fork of the Snake River.

The Freemont County Sheriff's Office says emergency responders received the call at about 10:30 a.m. Monday.

Police say the man was trapped in the logjam until being pulled out by family members and emergency responders.

Authorities say he was transported to a hospital where died from his injuries.

The man's name hasn't been released.
