IRVINE, Calif. (AP) — A 3-year-old Irvine girl has minor wounds after being bitten by a coyote.
The Orange County Register reports (http://bit.ly/1KrnDKt ) that the girl was bitten around 5:50 Friday afternoon near Silverado Park.
Irvine Police Lt. Scherer says there's more wildlife in that area than any other part of the city.
The toddler was taken to a hospital, where she was treated and released.
Animal control officers were not able to find the coyote.
A 2-year-old girl was bitten and dragged by a coyote at a Cypress park in 2013, leaving a 2.5-inch gash on her calf.
