PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police say four children ages 9 to 13 were rescued from the basement of a Philadelphia home where authorities suspect they'd been locked since the day before.

The 13-year-old boy, 12-year-old girl, 10-year-old girl and 9-year-old girl were taken a hospital for evaluation.
Police say they are trying to track down the children's mother.
