Body identified for man found in vacant lot near college

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The body of a 45-year-old man was found in an empty lot near the College of Southern Nevada campus.

Las Vegas police said they discovered the body in the 3000 block of North Las Vegas Boulevard Wednesday evening.

The Clark County Coroner's office identified the man as 45-year-old Carlos Humberto Vasquez.

The man appeared to have blunt force injuries but police said it's unclear when it may have happened.

Police are investigating the homicide.
