BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a 40-year-old Boise man police say died after fleeing a traffic stop and crashing into a building.

The Ada County Coroner's office in a statement Monday says Julio Granados died of blunt force trauma due to a motor vehicle accident.

Authorities say police saw Granados driving recklessly near the Boise Airport at about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Police say Granados sped up when they tried to stop him, and that they later found his sport-utility vehicle crashed into a building owned by a private business.

Granados was taken to Saint Alphonsus Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
