AMHERST, N.Y. (AP) — Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is part of a bipartisan group of senators that just reintroduced a bill meant to hold colleges more accountable in their handling of sexual assaults on campus.
On Monday, the New York Democrat will take part in round table discussions on the topic at college campuses in Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse.
At each stop, Gillibrand plans to meet with college students and officials, as well as survivors, advocates and law enforcement to discuss ways to combat campus sexual violence.
The first event is set for 10:30 a.m. at the University at Buffalo. She's scheduled to be at the University of Rochester at 12:30 and at Syracuse University at 2:15 p.m.
