BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Two Idaho firefighters have rescued a 2-year-old yellow Lab named Audi after the dog fell about 30 feet down a sheer canyon wall in an area southwest of Boise.

The Idaho Statesman reports (http://is.gd/Euv6Zs ) that Kuna Fire Department Capt. T.J. Lawrence said Thursday the dog suffered lots of scrapes and cuts and was in shock. He says a veterinarian later determined she had no broken bones or obvious internal injuries.

Lawrence and firefighter/paramedic Sean Stear climbed down the wall to rescue the animal.

He says the dog's owner didn't see her fall but spotted her because another dog was at the edge, looking down.

Lawrence says this isn't the kind of call his department typically gets.
