SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Engine trouble forced a United Airlines flight heading from Seattle to Newark, New Jersey, to make an emergency landing in Spokane.
KXLY reports (http://bit.ly/1sPXgl8 ) that the Airbus A320 was diverted to the eastern Washington city Sunday night, where it landed safely with power from only one engine.
United spokesman Charles Hobart says the airline flew in another aircraft to accommodate the 145 passengers.
The website flightaware.com shows Flight 273 left Spokane early Monday and landed in Newark at 8:41 a.m. EST.
