LAS VEGAS (AP) — A program that pairs adult advocates with children in foster care and court cases in Clark County is hosting an annual angel tree toy drive ahead of the holiday season.

Until Dec. 12, the CASA Foundation of Las Vegas is collecting toys at locations including Rachel's Kitchen, Credit Union 1, Distill - A Local Bar and Remedy's Tavern.

Court Appointed Special Advocates and Wirtz Beverage of Nevada plan to wrap and distribute toys during an annual Angel Tree Party on Dec. 13.

CASA Foundation of Las Vegas President Nancy Myster says there are more than 3,000 foster children in and around Las Vegas.

The CASA program provides volunteer advocates to ensure each child's rights and needs are being attended to while in foster care.
