SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Rescue Mission of Salt Lake will host an early Thanksgiving Dinner for homeless people and low-income families Wednesday.
The organization says in a statement it will offer warm clothes, haircuts and flu shots as well as turkey at the Day Before Thanksgiving Banquet.
Organizers expect to serve hundreds of meals and give away thousands of coats at the event, which will also offer hot showers and counseling.
It takes place between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
