INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — An Indiana State Department of Health website that allows people to download, print, email or fax family immunization records has reached a milestone.

The department says more than 50,000 immunization records now have been accessed through the MyVaxIndiana.in.gov site.

The agency launched the secure website in 2012. Individuals may use it by entering their date of birth and a personal identification number requested from their health care provider or local health department. Users can view their immunization history or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's recommended immunization schedule.

All MyVaxIndiana records appear as they are maintained in the Indiana Children and Hoosiers Immunization Registry Program, which currently contains the records of about 4 million people.
