SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Authorities say a 72-year-old Utah man has died in an Interstate 15 rollover crash that sent his wife and grandson to the hospital.
The Utah Highway Patrol in a statement says a camp trailer attached to a pickup truck began swaying about 5 p.m. Tuesday near Scipio. The driver lost control, veering onto the median, where the trailer flipped.
John Doyle was thrown from the truck and died from his injuries. The 70-year-old Patricia Doyle and a five-year-old grandson were also thrown from the truck. Patricia Doyle was walking around the scene when emergency crews arrived but was later flown to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center with critical injuries.
The grandson was treated for minor cuts. Officers say no one in the car was wearing a seat belt.
