FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — The Kentucky Environmental Education Council is holding a public meeting later this month to get input on Kentucky's five-year environmental education master plan.
State officials say the master plan will be developed through a collaborative, stakeholder-based process that will guide the direction and coordination of environmental education throughout the state.
Council executive director Elizabeth Schmitz says the meeting is open to educators, parents, business and industry representatives, administrators or any other interested people.
The July 23 meeting will begin the public input process. Later meetings on the subject will be held across the state during August.
The meeting is at the Locust Trace AgriScience Farm at 3591 Leestown Road in Lexington.
