BATESVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Lyon College has received a $1 million pledge to help fund new residence halls on campus.

The gift announced Friday is from the R.E. Lee Wilson Trust Foundation. The school will receive the money in five installments over the next five years.

Lyon is building two new residence halls, which are set to be complete in fall 2015 and accommodate up to 100 students each. The college is also renovating its current Brown and Barton Apartments.

Lyon College Board of Trustees Chairman Perry Wilson serves as a trustee with the R.E. Wilson Trust Foundation. His uncles, Steve and Bobby Wilson, also serve as foundation trustees.
