BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A Boise man whose dog police say attacked a 6-year-old boy is facing five counts of felony injury to a child.
Twenty-four-year-old Christopher Anderson was taken into custody Saturday following an investigation.
Police say his pit bull-type dog mauled the boy on March 27 and caused severe facial injuries.
Authorities say Anderson knew the dog was aggressive but left it in a van with three children. The two other children weren't attacked.
He remained in the Ada County Jail on Wednesday with a $500,000 bond.
The children have been placed in protective custody, while the dog is being held by Animal Control at the Idaho Humane Society.
Anderson is scheduled to appear in court on July 18.
