COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Artworks by faculty and students at the University of South Carolina are being auctioned for a good cause.
The school's 59th annual art auction is scheduled for Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the McMaster Gallery on the corner of Senate and Pickens Streets in Columbia.
The auction is sponsored by the department of art in the university's College of Arts and Sciences.
Proceeds help support the artists, art scholarships and the Gallery fund.
The art goes on display at 1 p.m. for public viewing. The event is free and open to the public.
