BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter wants to file additional arguments in his attempt to have an 11-judge panel review the three-judge ruling that overturned Idaho's gay marriage ban. Otter said another reply is needed because a separate federal court has since upheld same-sex marriage bans in other states.

MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho (AP) — Mountain Home police stationed officers at the community's high school and junior high today after a threat of a shooting. Police say an anonymous post on a social media site yesterday said that someone heard two students talking on a school bus about a shooting. School officials declined to comment.

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — The federal government is doubling the number of American Indian communities involved in a $1.9 billion tribal lands consolidation program. Deputy Secretary of the Interior Mike Connor says 21 Indian communities in 12 states will join the land buyback program by 2017. The buyback program is part of a $3.4 billion settlement of a class-action lawsuit.

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Federal officials say a radioactive waste treatment facility at the Idaho National Laboratory planned to be operational in 2012 won't be ready for months. The U.S. Department of Energy tells the Post Register that malfunctions with the $571 million Integrated Waste Treatment Unit continue to cause delays.
