BLACK ROCK DESERT, Nev. (AP) — Officials say a woman was struck and killed by a bus that was carrying passengers around the Burning Man festival in Nevada's Black Rock Desert. Event spokesman Jim Graham says the incident happened just after midnight today. Details about the circumstances of the crash and the woman's name weren't immediately available.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — State officials say Nevada gambling revenue was up less than 1 percent in July compared with the same month last year. The Nevada Gaming Control Board reported today that Las Vegas Strip gambling revenue was up 5 percent while downtown Las Vegas revenue was down 3 percent. Reno casino revenue was down 2 percent and South Lake Tahoe's dove 23 percent.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Nevada's taxable sales rose 4.7 percent in June compared with the same month a year ago, led by an 8 percent gain in Clark County and a 7.3 percent increase in Washoe County. Sales jumped a whopping 74 percent in Storey County, where several new warehouses and distribution centers recently have opened and ground has been broken for the possible site of electric car-maker Tesla Motor's new battery plant.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — A manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles says it plans to move its new drone headquarters from Southern California to Reno, and with it, hundreds of good-paying jobs Officials for Ashima Devices expect 400 new jobs to be added by 2018 with a reported average salary of $70,000.
