This conference is organized to address the workforce housing

challenges and opportunities arising from the sudden growth of the oil

& gas "boom towns" throughout North America. In addition to the prime

issues of finding and developing short and long-term housing

solutions, the conference will engage in housing-related concerns such

as attracting and retaining employees as well as planning for

sustainable communities.

"We're very excited about the caliber and range of speakers who have

joined us for this year's conference," commented Jeff Presberg,

Managing Partner of The Petroleum Connection and event organizer. "It

will be a highly informative and thought-provoking event."

"Texas is growing because of the dynamic activity occurring in the

energy industries. Quality, cost-efficient oil field housing,

particularly in the unincorporated areas of Texas counties, remains a

significant and complex issue to be resolved by interaction between

energy industry components and local governments," explained Charles

Kimbrough, Partner at Bickerstaff Heath Delgado Acosta LLP, which

works with numerous counties in the oil patch regarding housing and

infrastructure challenges.

Speakers and attendees include: numerous elected officials such as

Judge Jim Teal (McMullen County, TX), Judge Jim Huff (Live Oak County,

TX), Commissioner Gregg Fulfer (Lea County, New Mexico), Commissioner

Doug McLinko (Bradford County, PA ), Commissioner Kevin Burns (Wise

County, TX); leaders from E&P and Service Companies such as

Schlumberger, FTS International, Talisman Energy, Oasis Petroleum, C&J

Energy Services, and Trican Well Service; and leaders from trade

associations, academia, and professional organizations such as Omar

Garcia (STEER), Rayola Dougher (API), Jack Belcher (Consumer Energy

Alliance), Chuck Kimbrough (Bickerstaff Heath Delagado Acosta, LLP),

Dr. Azza Kamal (UTSA), and Rod Williams (Oilfield Lodging).

"We have a great combination of industry professionals, municipal

officials from the oilfield, housing solution providers, and experts

from academia," explained Peter Cook, President of The Petroleum

Connection, "There is not another event in the country that focuses on

this issue on a national level and that is bringing together industry

and municipal officials to honestly discuss housing related challenges

and solutions."

Kimbrough summarized, "This conference will provide a worthwhile

discussion of those issues and potential solutions through

presentations made by leading energy industry and public sector

representatives. It's shaping up to be a must-see event."

The conference is being held at Minute Maid Park in Houston, with

event accommodations being provided at the Westin Houston Downtown.
